How to get involved
Evolving Events CIC and Devon Mental Health Alliance are teaming up with Studio KIND to host a four-week exhibition, from 19th September to 17th October 2025.
The project, themed ‘Together Stories - Tales From The Community’, aims to gather creative narratives from community groups. It could be a piece of visual art, a written or recorded story, a song, a poem, or however the group would like to express themselves relating to the theme. We welcome individual as well as collective contributions, or something that a group (or individuals in a group) have already worked on.
We would love you to have freedom of your creative process, and look forward to seeing how you would present your ideas around the theme.
Your submission will be displayed in Studio KIND.’s gallery space for the duration of the exhibition.
In addition to the exhibition, we will be offering our flagship ‘Sound Lounge’ session(s), where participants are invited to a held space to bring a story, a poem, a song, an instrument, an anecdote or an object, or join in with making some art relating to the ‘Together Stories’ theme; we also welcome participants to just sit and listen. At our ‘Sound Lounge’ sessions, we aim to provide a comfortable and informal setting for creative expression, either prepared or spontaneous! To achieve this we will be setting up a real-life lounge in the gallery space to get cosy and explore the theme.
If this project resonates with you, please register your interest with us as soon as possible, with a brief description of what you might like to exhibit to evolvingeventshq@gmail.com. Submissions must be handed in to Studio KIND at Barnstaple Pannier Market, on Wed 17th September between 1-4pm.
