Artivism: Four-Week Art Summer School for ages 12 - 15
Monday 3rd August - Monday 24th August 2026 13:30 - 16:00 £20 per session, or £60 for all four sessions.
Come along to Studio KIND for a four-week art-themed summer school for young people aged 12 - 15. This year will be led by local artist Nicky Ruddick and will be focused on the theme of Artivism - exploring how art can challenge, protest and campaign for change. Explore your own voice and make a series of protest works, ranging from sign making, printed t-shirts and 3D sculpture.

Sessions are led by a qualified and experienced teacher.
Each half term session block explores a different theme and medium, gives opportunities for learning new skills and techniques and then applying them to create a final piece.
Theme: Working with Clay
This block of sessions will focus on:

Compostion skills - creating own finished clay shoe

Studies of artists' work and application into own artwork

We are really excited that we will be offereing the opportunity for young people to work with us towards an Arts Award. A fantastic opportunity for young people to develop as artists but also explore the professional world and experience leadership.

Home Education - enrichment afternoon sessions with ZestLab
Mondays during term time.
13:00-14:30
Suggested ages: 7+
£11 (£8 if attending morning sessions - includes staying over lunchtime)
These sessions are perfect as one offs to learn new skills and techniques as well as a great opportunity for regular members to extend and further develop their morning work.
